Friends and Loyal Customers:

In 20211, we purchased 2 pregnant doe goats to clear grass on our acres.  Little did we know at the time they would determine the next 12 years of our lives.  A cousin sent us a bottle of goat milk lotion and the curiosity of home gifts created a whole home-grown business.  With the encouragement of newly found artisan friends, GTD Ranch Products launched.  Our initial booth, with 5 fragrances of lotion and soap on a quilted blanket, expanded into 12 fragrances and an expansion from lotions and soaps to a diverse selection of Goat Milk Products.    A 10x10 booth expanded into a 10x20 booth that was recognizable to our loyal customers.  We were blessed by those loyal customers and the amazing coordinators of each and every craft fair.

Sam & Mike Reinhardt

Along the way, we made great and forever cherished friends!   â€‹It is now time for us to re-retire.  We want to spend some time traveling this country in our newly acquired travel trailer.   We often think “if we had only started this earlier”.

To our loyal customers, THANK YOU!  Your support and comments through the years gave us a pride and encouragement we cannot express.   We have been so blessed.  We wanted to make and present a product that made a difference in people’s lives and you made us feel that way.

To our fellow artisans, you were our joy at every fair.  Our hugs and comradery meant the world.

The good news is we have spent the last year with a couple who are going to take over the product line under the GTD Ranch Products name.  They have studied with us and learned to mirror our recipes.  We are going to turn over the website at the first of the year.  Many of you have met Sam and Mike Reinhardt at this year’s fairs.  They have their own herd of Nigerian Dwarfs and will have the energy to keep a Craft Fair schedule in the upcoming year.  Please welcome them to the fold.

Thank you again for 12 years of blessings.

Benefits of using Homemade Goat Milk Soaps and Lotions

Did you know... that Cleopatra's, known for her beauty and amazing skin, biggest skin care secret revealed was bathing in goat's milk?

Goat milk is loaded with essential nutrients and vitamins.  It is particularly high in Vitamin A which is necessary to repair damaged skin tissue and maintain healthy skin.  Goat's milk also contains Vitamin C, B1, B6, B12, E, zinc and amino acids.  These vitamins and minerals help slow aging, rebuild the skin,  maintain elasticity and retain skin moisture.

Fat Molecules are an important part of making good soap.  The cream that is present in goat's milk helps boost the moisturizing quality of goat milk soaps.  Many people suffer from dry skin particularly in the winter months.  Goat milk soap keeps skin naturally moisturized and healthy.

The beta hydroxyl and alpha hydroxyl acids in milk act as a gentle skin exfoliate therefore cleaning dead skin so the healthier skin cells can emerge.  Goat milk soap and lotion have a pH level similar to human skin, protecting the skin from daily bacteria and chemical invasion.  This pH level prevents dryness while allowing nutrients to enter the skin.

Goat milk soap has been proven to effectively treat acne.  The proteins in the milk products kill acne producing bacteria.  The moisturizing benefits of goat milk lotion far surpass that of commercial lotion because of the natural creams in the goat milk.  The molecular structure of the proteins and fatty acids in goat's milk a make it more easily absorbed into the skin.  It is not greasy like store-bought lotions, but rather soft and silky and will leave your skin feeling silky smooth to the touch.

Handmade goat milk lotion benefits people with sensitive skin because it doesn't contain additives like alcohol, petroleum and harmful preservatives, as do mass-produced, store bought lotions.  This reduces the risk of skin irritation and allergic reactions.
